The physical system of shopping arcades in Córdoba was consolidated in the eighties and formed a connective framework of high appropriation and use. The changes in the way of consume experienced by the city in the last three decades represent a new state for them. The notion of ‘obsolete product’ raises questions within the system as well as its representations.
Its condition as an urban phenomenon is found today within a media ecosystem born from digital acceleration. The archive is reconfigured, due to this paradigm shift, giving way to the database. The research proposes, through the use of these two concepts, a trajectory where the physical reality of the city is completed and complemented by its informational reality.
